Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Behavioral Specialist to support people in achieving personal goals and dreams. The role emphasizes advocacy, community participation, and maintaining rights and safety. Training and documentation are integral parts of daily work, with some sleepover duties possible.

You will work Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, totaling 10 scheduled hours weekly. A high school diploma and valid USA driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Valid driver’s license (USA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Assist people in participating in their community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals and support advocacy efforts.
• Provide emotional, physical, and social support as needed.
• Develop person-centered relationships to promote self-determination.
• Input into assessment and planning and implement the individual’s plan.
• Complete required documentation and daily progress notes.
• Assist with day-to-day home operations (housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, etc.).
• Provide transportation when required.
• Attend meetings and maintain required trainings.
