Job summary

Mizrahi Kroub LLP in New York City seeks an Associate to join our Employment Litigation practice. The Associate will work closely with a Senior Associate and/or Partner, assisting with matters from pre-litigation through resolution and gaining meaningful litigation experience with mentorship.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and discovery, conducting legal research, communicating with clients, and assisting with hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations, all within a

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• 1-2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law or plaintiff-side matters.
• Familiarity with employment-related claims under Title VII, NYHRL, NYCHRL, FLSA, NYLL.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of employment litigation, including pre-litigation and filed cases, under supervision.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and analyses.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments and assist with case management.
• Assist with preparing for and attending court hearings, conferences, and appearances.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, including document and witness prep.
• Review and analyze discovery, assist with strategy and responses.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and conferences.
• Collaborate with senior staff and paralegals to advance matters efficiently.
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience grows.
