Job summary

Mizrahi Kroub LLP in New York City seeks an Associate to join its Employment Litigation practice. You will work under a Senior Associate and/or Partner, assisting with matters from pre-litigation through resolution and gaining meaningful, hands-on litigation experience with mentorship.

Key duties include drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses; conducting legal research; communicating with clients; and participating in depositions, hearings, and settlement

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• 1–2 years of litigation experience, preferably employment law or plaintiff-side litigation.
• Familiarity with employment-related statutes (Title VII, NYSHRL, NYCHRL, FLSA, NYLL).

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of employment litigation matters under supervision.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and analyses.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments and manage case files.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, conferences, and depositions.
• Review discovery materials and assist with strategy and responses.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Collaborate with team to advance matters efficiently.
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience grows.
