Farmer Law PC seeks a skilled Paralegal specializing in immigration to handle H-2A and H-2B cases in a remote or hybrid setting. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate submissions, maintain client communication, and manage case documentation, all while thriving in a fast-paced legal environment.
Paralegals are key members of the legal team, responsible for preparing, organizing, and managing immigration filings across various case types. This position will focus on H-2A or H-2B petitions. This role is ideal for a business immigration paralegal with experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This position is remote (or hybrid for Austin-based candidates) and reports to the Paralegal Supervisor. WHY WORK WITH US: • Competitive salary + performance-based bonus potential • 401(k) with 5% match • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 15 days of PTO (plus 1 additional day/year after 3 years) • Paid holidays • 1-month sabbatical after 5 years • Gym membership reimbursement • Home office setup stipend • Ongoing professional development opportunities • Collaborative and inclusive work culture Responsibilities: • Draft immigration documents for H-2A or H-2B filings, including but not limited to G-28s, JCPs, ETA 9142A/B, ETA 790/790A, in preparation for attorney review. • Obtain and organize documents necessary for immigration filings in preparation for submission to government agencies, including Proof of Seasonality, Recruitment Documents, and reports. • Provide legal and factual summaries of case issues and strategies for review by the assigned Associate Attorney. • Provides timely updates to clients regarding their process through templated & non-templated emails and escalates matters that require legal interpretation or troubleshooting. • Follow established FLPC and team workflow(s), procedures, and guidelines, and prepare cases according to established technology and systems as indicated in the appropriate SOP(s). • Adhere to FLPC internal deadlines and government deadlines when preparing cases for submission. • Serve as the first-line reviewer for legal work (including work from Legal Support, peers, etc.), providing substantive feedback before presentation to the Attorney for final review. The level of review will vary depending on the experience of the author: detailed feedback for less experienced team members and a more streamlined review for peers, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete. • Collaborate with the case manager to provide status updates for client awareness and effective case management. • Proactively follow up on and provide updates on the status of the current legal case load. • Ensure that case status reports are updated weekly in advance of the case status meeting for all assigned cases. • Draft simple NOD, RFE, RFI, and other government responses/requests as needed. • Draft applications, statements in support, and other immigration documents such as G-28s, I-140s, ETA 9089, ETA 9141, DS260, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-907, and other forms required for attorney review as needed. • Assist with the creation of training materials and the updating of SOPs for assigned case types as needed. • Escalate any case, team, or capacity issues to the manager and/or the assigned Attorney. • Track time according to expectation in the case management software. Qualifications: • Excellent verbal skills by actively listening to others and written communication skills that are clear and concise. • Ability to progress casework and work independently. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. EXPERIENCE: • 2-5 years of experience in Business Immigration. • Experience in H2A or H2B is REQUIRED. Compensation: $52,000 - $70,000 yearly

Compensation:
