Job summary

Utah Valley University in Orem seeks an Employer Relations Assistant to connect students with off-campus employment and support employers in recruiting efforts. You will help students gain work experience, coordinate events, and track outcomes to succeed in their career readiness goals.

You'll work closely with the Employer Relations Manager, UVU partners, and campus stakeholders, using Handshake and MS Office to manage communications, scheduling, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 1 year related experience, or 3 years total education/experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience using Handshake and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Career & Internship Center CIC services to UVU students to increase off-campus job opportunities.
• Assists Employer Relations Manager with virtual and on-campus recruiting events.
• Supports employers in using Handshake and setup of postings and events.
• Tracks job offers and student placement for grant reporting.
