Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a People Business Partner based at our St. Petersburg, FL headquarters. You will guide employee relations, performance management, and retention for a national design-build contractor, handling investigations and disciplinary actions with fairness and discretion.

You'll coach managers, address conflicts, and partner with HR teams to ensure legal compliance and an excellent employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• SPHR or PHR certification highly preferred.
• 5+ years of HR experience as HRBP, HR Generalist, Employee Relations Specialist, or similar.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts fairly with independent judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with multiple priorities.
• Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as go-to resource for employees and leaders on relations matters.
• Counsel on conflicts, resolve disputes, and address performance concerns.
• Conduct objective employee investigations and document findings.
• Review and approve disciplinary notices and terminations.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and L&D on programs.
