Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a People Business Partner to join the SOURCE, our People Operations team, based at the St. Petersburg, FL headquarters. You’ll guide employee relations, performance management, and retention across a national design‑build contractor.

You’ll coach managers, conduct investigations, resolve workplace concerns, and drive engagement through data‑driven insights while upholding Power Design’s core values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or related field; SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
• 5+ years HR experience in roles like HRBP, HR Generalist, or People Business Partner.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; investigations experience.
• Able to resolve conflicts fairly; listens to perspectives and escalates when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication; builds trust across all levels.
• MS Office proficiency; Workday experience desirable; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to resource for team members and leaders on policies and inquiries.
• Support employee relations needs, including conflicts, performance concerns, and investigations.
• Conduct objective investigations and document findings with recommended resolutions.
• Review progressive disciplinary actions and termination requests for fairness.
• Partner with People Operations on unemployment and workers’ comp programs.
• Coach managers on performance management and corrective action.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to inform retention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Participate in SOURCE projects and training to improve employee experience.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development for seamless support.
