Power Design is seeking a People Business Partner based in St. Petersburg, FL. In this role you will guide employee relations, performance management, and retention across our national design-build contracting team.

You’ll coach managers, conduct investigations, and ensure fair, compliant outcomes while partnering with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to enhance the employee experience. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, uphold our “People First, Always”

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PHR or SPHR certification highly preferred.
• 5+ years of human resources experience in business partner/employee relations roles.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to resource for team members and leaders, interpreting policies and responding to employee relations inquiries.
• Support employee relations needs, including handling conflicts, resolving disputes, and addressing performance concerns.
• Conduct objective investigations and document findings with recommended resolutions.
• Review and approve progressive disciplinary actions and terminations for fairness and consistency.
• Manage unemployment claims and coordinate with Workers’ Compensation programs at state/regional levels.
• Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and corrective action.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to improve retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to support the employee experience.
