Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide consistent ER consultation to Managers and Employees, and to conduct investigations ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

You will interpret policies, partner with Legal and HR teams, and drive proactive risk mitigation across the organization. The role requires experience in HR compliance and strong communication, with travel to company sites within the supported region.

Qualifications

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations.
• Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Provide supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Collaborate with Operational Management/Business HR/Labor Relations/Legal Teams to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
• Travel as needed to company sites within supported region.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within region.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Upskill and train on technology and functional aspects of case management systems.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and self-motivation.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations from start to finish, ensuring fairness and compliance with laws and policies.
• Advise managers on policy interpretations regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Legal/ Labor Relations to resolve complex Employee Relations situations.
• Provide high-quality HR support through performance management and risk mitigation in compliance.
• Monitor ER trends and report insights to Operations Management and HRBPs.
