Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Manager of Employee Relations & Engagement to advise HR leaders, oversee investigations, and guide performance management and employment practices across Centuri and subsidiaries.

The role focuses on strengthening HR practices, mitigating risk, and driving employee engagement initiatives, with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to influence leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of Human Resources experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive employee relations experience including investigations, corrective action, and termination guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex employee relations matters across Centuri and its subsidiary companies.
• Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, including employee complaints and ethics hotline reports.
• Coach and advise HR leaders and people managers on performance management, corrective action, documentation, and employee relations best practices.
• Review investigations, corrective actions, and termination recommendations to ensure consistency, documentation, and compliance.
• Partner with Legal on employment-related matters, including regulatory complaints and risk mitigation.
• Lead HR compliance initiatives, including policy administration, training, recordkeeping, and compliance with employment laws.
• Oversee Form I-9, E-Verify, and immigration compliance.
• Develop and deliver training to HR partners and leaders on employee relations and respectful workplace practices.
• Partner with business leaders to support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and retention strategies.
• Manage the exit interview process and analyze feedback to drive improvements.
• Analyze employee relations data to identify risks and support proactive HR strategies.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on policy updates and change management.
