Job summary

Centric Brands in New York is seeking a senior HR Director to lead performance management, talent discussions, employee relations, and recruitment for the NY office. You will partner with business leaders to implement HR programs and drive organizational effectiveness.

The role requires 8-10+ years of HR experience, strong knowledge of labor laws, and excellent communication. The position offers a hybrid work model, industry-competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of HR experience.
• Knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, performance management, compensation and recruitment.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws.
• Creative thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and influencing skills, a hands-on approach in working with management.
• Demonstrated skill in coaching and counseling across employee populations and HR issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with business leaders and employees to become a trusted advisor and key member of the business team.
• Continuously improve processes to attract, retain, develop and engage talent.
• Manage onboarding, including new hire orientations for a positive transition.
• Oversee the performance management lifecycle with tools and feedback for career growth.
• Resolve employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and manage documentation and communication.
• Ensure New York legal compliance in work authorizations and Wage & Hour.
• Coach managers on delivering effective performance conversations and documentation.
• Support management on organizational changes and discussions.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to manage full cycle recruitment for NY positions.
• Develop recruitment strategies specific to the NY market to attract top talent.
• Champion employee events to foster team culture in the NY office.
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the NY office.
• Provide data and information to Finance and other departments.
