Job summary

Chevron is seeking an Employee Relations Counselor for North America to lead investigations, advise management, and guide dispute resolution across business units. The role blends field presence with in-house consultation, emphasizing policy application and confidential data handling.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (four days in the office with a Friday option) and a 9/80 flexibility for eligible employees, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years as a neutral fact finder or conflict/dispute resolution facilitator.
• Knowledge of organizational policies and employment laws.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize relevant facts.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end investigations: intake, planning, interviews, data gathering and analysis, reporting, case-management updates with stakeholders.
• Advise management on performance, discipline and corrective actions.
• Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution processes.
• Collaborate with HR, Employment Law, IT Forensics, Labor Relations and Ombuds.
• Represent Chevron in professional organizations to benchmark ER practices.
• Attend unemployment claims appeal hearings as a Chevron representative.
• Lead or support special projects as assigned.
