Chevron Corporation is seeking an Employee Relations Counselor for North America in Houston. The role offers a hybrid work schedule with four days in the office and a Friday in-office option, plus a 9/80 schedule for eligible employees.

The candidate will manage end-to-end investigations, provide consultative guidance on performance and discipline, facilitate dispute resolution, and collaborate with Employment Law, Global Security, IT Forensics, and Labor Relations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years as a neutral fact-finder, conflict/dispute resolution facilitator, analytical writer, and presenter.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, processes and employment laws.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize facts for specific audiences.
• Effective communication with all levels of personnel.
• Independent decision‑making, prioritization, and project management.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products including Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Co-Pilot.

Responsabilités

• Handle end-to-end investigative processes including intake, planning, interviews, data gathering and analysis, report writing, and case management updates.
• Provide consultative services on performance management, discipline, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution processes.
• Partner with other Chevron organizations (e.g., Employment Law, Global Security, IT Forensics, Labor Relations, Ombuds).
• Represent Chevron in professional organizations to benchmark external ER practices.
• Attend unemployment claims appeal hearings as a Chevron representative.
• Lead or support special projects as assigned.
