Job summary

Chevron is seeking an Employee Relations Counselor for North America to lead investigations, advise management on performance and discipline, and facilitate conflict resolution. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong writing and presentation skills.

Role involves travel up to 10%, and requires proficiency in MS Office and related tools. The position offers a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and a Fridays hybrid option as well as relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years experience in neutral fact-finding, facilitation, analytical writing, and presenting.
• Experience with organizational policies and employment laws.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investigations including intake, planning, interviews, data gathering, and reporting.
• Provide consultative support to management on performance, discipline, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution processes.
• Collaborate with HR, Employment Law, IT Forensics, and Labor Relations teams.
• Represent Chevron in professional organizations to benchmark ER practices.
• Attend unemployment claims appeal hearings as Chevron representative.
• Lead or support special projects as assigned.
