Job summary

Chevron Corp. in Houston, TX is seeking an Employee Relations Counselor for North America with a hybrid schedule (four days in office, optional Friday remote). A flexible 9/80 option allows every other Friday off for eligible employees.

The role includes end-to-end investigations, advisory support on performance management and disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution. Collaboration with Employment Law, Global Security, IT Forensics, Labor Relations, and Ombuds is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end investigative processes including intake, planning, interviews, data gathering and reporting.
• Provide consultative guidance to business management on performance management and corrective actions.
• Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution processes.
• Collaborate with other Chevron groups (Employment Law, Global Security, IT Forensics, Labor Relations, Ombuds) on assignments.
• Represent Chevron in professional organizations to benchmark external ER practices and tools.
• Attend unemployment claims appeal hearings as a Chevron representative.
• Lead and/or support special projects as assigned.
