Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Project Professional in Atlanta, GA.

The role focuses on coordinating and overseeing projects from planning through completion with emphasis on technical quality, regulatory standards, and customer service. You will manage field and technical activities, support team development, and build strong client relationships with contractors, contributing to safe, durable, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a similar technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection (SI).
• Active Construction Materials industry certifications (ACI/ICC).
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards and IBC Special Inspections requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to develop, review, and deliver accurate technical reports and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CMT and Special Inspection assignments through completion, including planning, scheduling, staffing, and technical direction.
• Maintain communication with clients and contractors to ensure expectations and relationships remain positive.
• Direct inspection and testing efforts, assess field records, and assist with training and developing personnel.
• Coordinate development and review of project reports, proposals, and pricing estimates to ensure timely delivery.
• Represent the company in industry groups and participate in outreach to identify potential projects.
