Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Project Manager in Indianapolis, IN to lead CMT and Special Inspection programs, supervise field and engineering staff, ensure quality and client satisfaction on complex projects, and foster strong client-contractor relationships.

You will balance project management, field oversight, technical expertise, and business development to advance operational excellence and growth of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or a related Engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection (SI).
• Active PE license is a plus; ICC/ACI/DOT certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and SI projects from kickoff through closeout with budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to confirm project requirements and maintain service-driven relationships.
• Mentor technicians and engineers for accurate testing, quality reporting, and adherence to specifications.
• Oversee reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Support business development and networking to grow local market presence.
