Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a highly experienced CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. The role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites, and performing labor tasks to support operations.

The ideal candidate will operate loaders, backhoes, track hoes, haul trucks, and water trucks while adhering to safety standards and working outdoors in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• CDL required.
• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize risk.
• Take direction from crew leader for assignments and duties.
• Perform minor servicing maintenance or refer major problems to Foreman/Shop Manager.
• Report hazards or issues to lead promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships and collaborate with others.
• Complete required documentation (incidents, site logs) per standards.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform other physical tasks to maintain the job site.
