Job summary

Border States in Albertville, MN is seeking an Alliance Service Representative I to support day-to-day Customer Service operations. You will receive and enter orders, provide timely follow-up on inquiries, coordinate deliveries, process returns, run daily reports and help resolve customer and order issues.

The role requires a 2-year business/trade degree (or equivalent experience), strong knowledge of electrical products, and experience with Windows PC, Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• 2-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems.
• 2+ years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of PC Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet, and email.
• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processes EDI orders.
• Provides price quotes to customers for existing bill of materials.
• Provides timely follow-up on customer inquiries and order status.
• Secures pricing from vendors and coordinates deliveries.
• Expedites deliveries when necessary and assists with returns.
• Loads and maintains customer part numbers in the CMIR.
• Adheres to customer product standards and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Runs daily reports and resolves customer and order issues.
• Assists customers with billing issues and emergency orders.
