Job summary

Border States in Tampa, FL (or Orlando, FL) is seeking an Alliance Service Representative I to support day-to-day customer service operations, including order entry, follow-up on inquiries, and expediting deliveries. The role handles pricing, EDI orders, and supplier coordination.

This position requires knowledge of electrical products, SAP, and Microsoft Office; prior electrical distribution experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems.
• 2+ years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), internet, and email.
• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processes EDI orders.
• Provides price quotes to customers for existing bill of materials.
• Provides consistent and timely follow-up on customer inquiries and order status.
• Coordinates deliveries and expedites deliveries when necessary.
• Assists customers with billing issues.
• Loads and maintains customer part numbers in the CMIR.
• Adheres to customer product standards.
• Assists and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers.
