Job summary

KIPP Capital Region, Albany, NY, is seeking a Manager of People Operations - Employee Experience to lead onboarding, offboarding, data management, and renewal processes across our regional schools. This role partners with Payroll, Finance, Talent, and school leaders to ensure compliant, efficient HR operations and a superior employee experience.

The position is full-time and hybrid, located in Albany with collaboration across regional sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Services, or related field.
• Experience administering HR systems and employee databases, preferably UKG, including data management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing personnel files, document retention, employment verifications, unemployment claims, and leave documentation.
• Experience leading complex operational processes and annual workforce initiatives such as renewals, staffing transitions, onboarding campaigns, or workforce planning.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with leaders, Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, IT, and external vendors.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR compliance, and confidentiality.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, HRIS platforms, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, offboarding, and employment transactions.
• Manage employee records and HR data quality.
• Oversee annual CWK renewals and LOOs.
• Coordinate Summer Academy and seasonal staffing LOOs and agreements.
• Support stipend administration, PSLF certifications, and verifications.
• Provide guidance on policies and transactions to leaders and employees.
• Continuously improve HR processes and reporting.
