Job summary

KIPP NYC is seeking a Director, People Systems and Operations to lead HR systems, payroll, and data governance across its NYC network. This hybrid role requires strong project management, system thinking, and a focus on employee experience.

The Director will own the HCM platform strategy, oversee integrations with Finance and IT, and drive scalable processes across multiple campuses, including travel to Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan campuses.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or People Operations.
• Experience leading enterprise HR technology projects and teams.
• Deep experience with major enterprise HCM platforms and HRIS configuration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the systems leader for KIPP NYC’s HCM ecosystem (Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits).
• Develop and execute a multi-year People technology roadmap aligned to strategy.
• Lead design, configuration, integration, testing, and optimization of People systems.
• Coordinate work across People, Payroll, Finance, IT and school teams.
• Lead change management for major system changes and training.
