Job summary

KIPP Capital Region is a network of high-performing public charter schools serving Albany, NY area. The Manager of People Strategy and Projects supports the Chief People Officer and People Team in planning, coordinating, and executing regional priorities, initiatives, and admin operations across KIPP Capital Region.

The role partners with CPO and regional leaders to manage strategic projects, recruitment campaigns, workforce planning, and people operations initiatives, while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in project management, coordination, executive support, operations, or admin.
• Experience supporting senior leaders or executive teams, preferably in education/nonprofit.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PM tools.
• Experience developing trackers, dashboards, workflows, and admin systems.
• Ability to analyze information and translate findings into actions.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience handling confidential information professionally.
• Experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, or People Ops preferred.
• Experience coordinating professional development or organizational development projects preferred.
• Public charter school/K-12 or mission-driven org experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HRIS/ATS/LMS and PM platforms preferred.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours when needed.
• Commitment to inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute strategic projects with the CPO and People Team.
• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and ownership.
• Manage multiple projects to align with regional people priorities.
• Set up PM tools, trackers, dashboards, and reporting for visibility.
