Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Employee Engagement Specialist to lead lifecycle experiences for employee-owners across the Phoenix division. You will own onboarding, 60-day check-ins, and engagement interviews while analyzing trends and safeguarding confidentiality.

The role partners with HR and leadership to strengthen retention, run surveys and programs, and create a welcoming, data-informed employee experience at a large ESOP company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-5 years in HR or employee engagement.
• Experience with onboarding, interviews, and confidential data handling.
• Ability to organize qualitative/quantitative data and derive insights.
• Strong communication, judgment, and independent initiative.
• Experience with HRIS, dashboards, and multi-location employee support.

Responsibilities

• Own Phoenix onboarding, readiness, communications, and logistics.
• Complete I-9 activities on time with audit-ready docs.
• Conduct structured 60‑day check‑ins for new hires.
• Lead voluntary exit and engagement interviews across locations.
• Develop engagement initiatives, surveys, and forums.
• Monitor themes, sentiment, and retention trends; report insights.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership to drive action plans.
• Escalate compliance or employee-relations concerns as needed.
