AmeriLife is seeking an Employee Communications Manager to edit, proofread and steward internal messages. You will manage channels, calendars and workflows, ensuring accuracy and a human voice, while using AI tools to work smarter.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in internal/employee communications or related fields.
• Strong editing, proofreading, planning and quality-control skills.
• Experience with intranet platforms, email/newsletter systems and collaboration tools such as Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Viva Engage and Workday.
• Comfortable using AI and emerging technologies to support communications workflows while applying strong editorial judgment and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a proactive quality-control checkpoint for employee communications.
• Edit, proofread and conduct final quality checks on newsletters, emails, intranet content and other employee communications before distribution, ensuring accuracy and a clear, engaging and consistent voice.
• Review communications in context, identifying gaps, conflicting information, and potential employee questions before distribution.
• Build relationships across the business to uncover stories and content that connect employees to AmeriLife’s mission, strategy and culture.
• Own the Employee Communications calendar and tracker as the team’s source of truth for planned communications, deadlines and channel activity.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews, approvals and distribution, and escalate blockers as needed.
• Monitor and manage AmeriLife’s employer brand presence on Glassdoor, Indeed and similar platforms.
• Track and analyze channel performance and recommend improvements to content, cadence and channel strategy.
