AmeriLife is building a modern, employee-first communications function and seeks an organized communicator with a strong quality-control mindset. As Employee Communications Manager, you’ll edit, proofread, and shape content while managing channels, calendars, and workflows to keep programs moving.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in internal/employee communications, corporate communications, journalism, publishing or content management.
• Strong editing, proofreading, quality-control and planning skills, with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent deliverables, deadlines, stakeholders and approval processes.
• Experience with intranet platforms, email/newsletter systems and collaboration tools such as Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Viva Engage and Workday.
• Working knowledge of Canva and ability to independently create polished, on-brand visual content using our established brand kits, templates and assets.
• Comfortable using AI and emerging technologies to support communications workflows while applying strong editorial judgment and quality control.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret engagement data and turn insights into recommendations.

Responsibilities

• QA checkpoint for employee communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Edit newsletters, emails, intranet content with clear, engaging voice.
• Review communications for gaps and potential questions before distribution.
• Use AI thoughtfully to improve efficiency without generic AI language.
• Build cross-team relationships to uncover stories connecting employees to AmeriLife.
• Own the employee communications calendar and tracker; manage approvals and distribution.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, Finance and others for effective communications.
• Maintain intranet updates, distribution lists, and the employee story bank.
• Monitor employer brand on Glassdoor and Indeed.
