County of Northumberland seeks a Benefits Specialist to administer and coordinate employee benefit programs and to manage FMLA processes for county staff. The role serves as a liaison among employees, Human Resources, and benefit providers to ensure enrollment accuracy and policy compliance.

Responsibilities include tracking FMLA eligibility, maintaining confidential records, and updating payroll with premium-share amounts.

Qualifications

• Administers and coordinates employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life and other benefits.
• Serves as primary liaison between employees, HR, insurance carriers, third-party administrators and benefit providers.

Responsabilités

• Administers and tracks the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), including eligibility, notices, documentation, and records.
• Maintains employee benefit premium-share information within the County's payroll platform and may assist with payroll duties.
• Coordinates with payroll to ensure benefit deductions are accurate and timely.
• Communicates benefit provisions, enrollment procedures, deadlines, and changes to employees.
• Assists with open enrollment activities and benefit communications.
