Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Benefits & Leave Specialist to administer benefits programs across North America and manage leaves of absence. You will serve as the main contact for vendors and employees, ensuring compliance and data accuracy while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of employee benefits administration, leave management, disability programs, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work practices.
• Working knowledge of employment and benefits regulations including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA; Canadian experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Strong customer service, communication, relationship-building, and collaboration abilities.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and compliance focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to process improvement and delivering a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs (health, retirement, disability, wellness, voluntary benefits).
• Manage benefit enrollments, life events, open enrollment, terminations, and eligibility records.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators with data accuracy and process improvements.
• Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, disability, parental, military, etc.).
• Coordinate leave documentation, accommodations, and return-to-work plans.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims from injury to resolution, including reporting and medical coordination.
• Partner with managers, HSE, insurers, and employees on health and injury management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation regulations.
• Educate employees and leaders on benefits and leave policies; provide resources.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement in benefits and leave administration.
