Job summary

Kapnick Insurance, a Michigan-based independent advisor with global reach, seeks an Account Manager for our Employee Benefits division. You will serve as the primary contact for small business clients, coordinating day-to-day service requests and tailoring renewal materials.

In this role you will manage client accounts in our agency system, collaborate with client executives and account executives, and support the implementation of client policies while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of employee group benefit experience.
• 2-3 years of customer service experience.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organization skills.
• Like to solve problems.
• Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Promptly identify and resolve client issues (administrative, billing, claims).
• Maintain client account information in the agency management system.
• Consult with Client Executive or Account Executive regularly.
• Review and prepare renewal proposals for clients.
• Coordinate renewal materials and open enrollment packets.
• Oversee submission of group applications to carriers and assist with implementation.
• Act as liaison to other service departments within the benefits division.
• Monitor voicemails, emails, and activities per service standards.
• Attend department and team meetings and training sessions.
• Facilitate plan document creation or amendments using internal/external resources.
• Document client renewal decisions, plans, and final rates in the system.
