Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Data Integrity Merge Analyst (HIM) to maintain accuracy, safety, and privacy of patient records in the EMR/Epic system. The role focuses on chart corrections, handling duplicate records, and data audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate across departments, manage Epic workqueues, and perform specialized information requests while upholding HIPAA guidelines and data quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent years of experience required.
• 2 years of experience with an EHR system with a strong focus on Health Information Management (HIM) required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and triages chart corrections requests.
• Makes corrections or triage the error to appropriate analyst(s), end users.
• Monitors data integrity by reviewing and validating potential patient matches.
• Identify and analyze duplicate medical records patterns and present corrective actions.
• Reviews and validates data to ensure the integrity of patient records.
