Job summary

Opus is seeking a Customer Service Assistant at our Marietta, GA Service Center to assist motorists with program applications for exemptions, extensions, and waivers, and to provide emission reprints as required. The role includes answering questions, gathering necessary documents, and reporting issues to management.

Occasional cross-site scheduling may occur to meet contract requirements. Typical hours are Mon-Tue, Thu-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with Wed 9:30am-6:00pm; the position pays $16.00 per hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• One year of experience in a Customer Service environment.
• MUST pass an Emissions Inspector Certification Test (80%) after in-house training and any certification as determined by management.

Responsibilities

• Open and close Service Center facility according to designated hours of operation.
• Respond to inquiries from motorists relating to program rules and requirements.
• Determine eligibility for extensions, exemptions or waivers.
• Issue waivers, extensions, exemptions and waivers per procedures.
• Inspect vehicle receipts for repairs and determine if prescribed repairs were performed.
• Maintain cleanliness and professional environment in the Service Center.
• Review and adapt to local Clean Air and Emission Program Rules and Regulations.
• Assist with continual improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
