Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Visual Design, Emerging Talent Intern to help build a library of reusable design assets and branded engagement materials for career fairs and programs. The role requires strong design skills, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency, and basic video editing abilities.

You will collaborate with the Emerging Talent team to create assets, templates, and campaigns while adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring accessibility.

Qualifications

• Matriculated undergraduate with good standing.
• GPA requirement of at least 2.5.
• Portfolio of design work strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design presentation templates and branded decks for internship programs.
• Create branded materials for career fairs and university engagements.
• Design flyers, signage, and digital assets for events.
• Develop iconography and visuals aligned with Emerging Talent branding.
• Support social and digital content for talent campaigns.
• Maintain visual consistency across program documents and onboarding materials.
• Assist with MailChimp layout for internal communications.
• Support basic video edits and motion graphics for promos.
• Collaborate to ensure accessibility and brand guideline compliance.
• Handle additional design tasks as assigned.
