Job summary

Leidos seeks an Associate Substation Protection and Controls Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in Michigan. You will work under supervision to develop skills in substation engineering and support utility projects nationwide.

Responsibilities include assisting with Protection and Control design, performing basic calculations, preparing deliverables, and collaborating with other disciplines. Strong communication and organizational skills are valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0-2+ years of relevant utility substation engineering experience with a B.S. degree.
• 0-1+ years of relevant experience with an M.S. degree.
• Understanding of the utility grid and basic electric power principles.
• Strong quality focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with Protection and Control design on utility substation projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design.
• Prepare project deliverables including drawings and technical reports.
• Collaborate with other substation engineering disciplines as required.
• Develop processes to improve project execution efficiency.
