Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer for our Lawrenceville, NJ or Morristown, NJ offices. You will support the Transportation Team on projects including bridges and sign structures, and assist with design drawings, calculations, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related degree.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical and ethical skills.
• Apply basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of design drawings/plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist more experienced engineers and take on more responsibility with experience.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Uphold safety and conduct policies in daily work.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
