Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a highly energetic, self-motivated Early Career Structural Engineer to support the Transportation Facilities Group in the New York, New York office. The role involves working under a Senior Structural Engineer on projects including rail and bus stations, airports, and transportation hubs in the NY Metro Region.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 0–1 years of experience, proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; graduating May 2025 (recent graduate).
• 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Internship, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on quality work products.
• Must be able to work in the United States immediately.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural design details and drawings, including calculations for new/construction and renovation.
• Develop drawings in REVIT (BIM), AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Use Excel and Mathcad Prime to develop structural calculation packages.
• Utilize SAP, STAAD.Pro, RAM Steel, ETABS, SAFE or equivalents for analysis.
• Conduct field inspections of structural systems in transportation facilities.
• Complete training related to assigned tasks.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
