Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer in Lawrenceville, NJ or Morristown, NJ. You will support a transportation team, assist with design calculations, field work, and documentation, and develop technical, social, and ethical skills in a growing firm.

The role emphasizes structural engineering fundamentals, internship/leadership background, and compliance with safety policies. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; recent Master’s encouraged.
• 0–1 years post-education experience.
• Internship/leadership/relevant coursework.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on quality work.
• Ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Uphold safety policies and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Apply basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and design calculations.
• Support preparation of design drawings/plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist more experienced engineers in broader activities as experience grows.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.
