Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) in the Aurora, CO area. This developmental leadership role trains across store operations, merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement to prepare for Store Manager opportunities.

Mobility within the region is expected, with no guaranteed timeframe but a typical 12–18 month assignment. Successful candidates will learn to manage expenditures against budget, monitor sales and profits, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management or financial management.
• 4 years' management experience in retail, operations or distribution with leadership responsibilities.
• 2 years' general management experience, including financial accountability.
• For firearm facilities, pass CBC and related requirements; for ammo-only sites, meet state rules.

Responsibilities

• Support store manager readiness by training across merchandising, people leadership and finances.
• Assist in budget management, analyze sales and profit, and review business reports.
• Lead hourly associates, ensure policy compliance and drive customer satisfaction.
