Job summary

Walmart in Saint Cloud, MN is offering an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) developmental leadership role designed to prepare associates for Store Manager opportunities within Walmart US store operations. The program lasts 12 to 18 months and supports mobility for Store Manager placement within the assigned region.

The role trains across merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement while preparing for higher responsibility and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management or financial management with 2 years' management experience in retail/operations/distribution.
• Alternative: 4 years' management experience in retail/operations/distribution with supervisory responsibilities and financial accountability.
• Some roles may require firearms CBC/eligibility for applicable facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the store management team and drive performance.
• Manage budget, expenditures, and financial targets.
• Forecast staffing and lead succession planning processes.
• Promote store objectives and partner with regional leadership across functions.
• Build relationships with community stakeholders and support outreach.
• Ensure compliance with policies and drive customer service excellence.
• Provide coaching, performance reviews, and recognition to associates.
