Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Emerging Store Manager in Albuquerque, NM. This developmental leadership role trains across merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement to prepare for Store Manager opportunities within the region.

The assignment lasts up to 12–18 months with mobility across the region, and persistence towards a Store Manager placement is expected; regular/permanent position is available if proven successful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management or financial management.
• 4 years' management experience in retail/operations with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong financial accountability and budgeting experience.
• Ability to relocate within assigned region for Store Manager placement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store operations across merchandising, people leadership, and customer experience.
• Assist in budgeting, analyze P&L, and manage expenditures against budget.
• Monitor sales, forecasts, and staffing plans to meet goals.
• Engage with community programs and uphold Open Door Policy with associates.
• Prepare associates for Store Manager opportunities within mobility region.
