Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a store leader to manage daily operations, coach teams, and drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will oversee merchandising, budgeting, and performance initiatives, ensuring safety and efficiency across all store departments. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, at least one year of department-management experience, and a proven track record in coaching associates and using KPIs to guide decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent role.
• Proven ability to coach and develop associates to meet customer service and business goals.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to inform decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and influence outcomes to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in planning and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Lead teams to achieve sales, wage, and profit budgets and other targets (safety, shrink).
• Develop action plans and communicate results to associates based on survey feedback.
• Oversee store operations in the manager's absence and maintain customer service excellence.
• Build proactive relationships with community organizations and union representatives if applicable.
• Support labor management and cost control to meet targets.
