Job summary

AutoZone’s MIT program in Dayton offers hands-on leadership training to prepare you for promotion into a Retail Store Management position. You will gain experience in staffing, customer service excellence, and operational leadership under the Store Manager’s guidance.

Expected to progress within 8–12 weeks based on performance, with a focus on driving WOW! customer service, profitability analysis, and structured training processes. Strong communication in English and Spanish is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year: 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Exceptional communication: strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Automotive retail: experience in automotive retail or analyzing company financials (e.g., P&L) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• MITs lead by example, mentor employees, and help develop a high-performing store team.
• Support store operations, ensure policies are followed, and assist with staffing and training.
• Engage customers, resolve concerns, and drive profitable store performance.
