Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for GovCloud projects in Virginia. The role focuses on coordinating information, maintaining budget and schedule, and supporting the project team through all lifecycle stages.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in commercial construction, strong communication skills, and familiarity with ProCore, JD Edwards, and industry software. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, with on-site work in Culpeper, VA.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; four-year degree preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, including work with a commercial general contractor.
Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Maintain adherence to HITT safety standards.
Ensure required documentation is filed for projects.
Assist in creating and managing project budgets for assigned projects.
Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
Assist in project meetings, setting milestones, and owner reports.
Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and approve changes.
Update project schedule and ensure quality control and logistics.
Assist in closeout and turnover activities.
Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
