Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent for the GovCloud project in Virginia.

You will support the project manager, help develop the schedule, and supervise installation sequencing while maintaining daily site logs. Coordinate with subcontractors, ensure safety compliance and incident reporting, manage punch lists and closeout, and contribute to budget, quality, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Experience with tenant renovations, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast-paced projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager in formulating the project schedule and ensuring proper installation methods and sequence.
• Maintain complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders and site conditions; manage the punch list and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with HITT safety program; assist in safety inspections and incident investigations.
