Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager for mission-critical projects. The role focuses on coordinating information, budgeting, and schedule management to deliver projects on time, within budget and to spec.

Candidates should have 2–5 years in commercial construction, a strong software toolkit (MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards), and a degree in construction/engineering/business or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites preferred.
• Familiarity with project software and MS Office.
• Passion for construction and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to HITT’s safety standards.
• Ensure that required documentation is filed.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in conducting project meetings and tracking milestones.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and negotiate change orders.
• Update project schedules and ensure quality control and logistics.
• Assist in managing closeout and handover.
• Collaborate with project superintendent and site operations team.
