California Coast Credit Union seeks a Senior Counsel to serve as in-house legal counsel, providing guidance on corporate, contractual, employment, regulatory and financial services matters in a dynamic financial institution environment.

The role supervises the in-house Paralegal, collaborates with management and outside counsel, and helps shape governance, risk management and strategic initiatives while staying current with federal and California laws relevant to credit unions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California is required.
• Three to five years of legal experience in corporate, commercial, employment, financial services or banking matters.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, practical legal advice to management and business units.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret contracts and policies.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with outside counsel.
• Support litigation, regulatory inquiries, investigations and dispute resolution matters.
• Advise on legal risks related to new products, services and strategic initiatives.
