Job summary

University of South Florida, located on the Tampa campus, seeks a Jr HR Business Partner to serve as a liaison among employees, managers, and central HR. This role supports day-to-day HR matters, payroll coordination, onboarding, and regulatory compliance.

Under HRBP II guidance, you will work with Central HR on performance issues, employee relations, and benefits inquiries, while ensuring accurate HR actions for assigned departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two–four years of related human resources experience in office or administrative positions can substitute for the degree.
• Minimum of one year of related HR experience.
• Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• SB 1310 allows substitution of work experience for postsecondary education requirements.
• Relates to public employer employment eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Jr HR Business Partner for assigned departments.
• Process and manage HR actions for your assigned department.
• Prepare appointment paperwork in Oracle HR for approval.
• Coordinate bi-weekly payroll and act as primary HR/payroll contact.
• Partner with Recruiting and hiring managers for recruitment and onboarding.
• Support full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle for faculty, staff, and temporary employees.
• Draft and revise position descriptions, postings, screening, offers, and onboarding with Central HR.
• Assist with performance issues, discipline, grievances, and reorganizations under guidance.
• Support regulatory compliance: e-Disclose, training, FLSA, HireRight, LII, ADA, FMLA.
