Job summary

SSC Services for Education seeks an experienced HR Manager to oversee campus HR operations at the University of South Florida, Tampa. This role mentors onsite HR staff, aligns HR activities with strategic objectives, and travels up to 10% for meetings and HR support.

The ideal candidate offers early to mid-level HR management experience in custodial/facilities contexts, strong employee relations, and robust data analytics to drive HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required; master’s preferred.
• PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
• Three plus years HR generalist experience; management experience a plus.
• HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required.
• Experience in a centralized HR environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent application of all Company HR policies.
• Coach associates and management; advise on disciplinary action.
• Oversee hourly recruitment and onboarding.
• Coordinate associate recognition programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Run and review HR activity reports; support surveys.
• Present HR topics and training; assist HR initiatives.
• Promote diversity through recruiting and development goals.
• Assist in Personal Development Plans and Annual Performance Appraisal.
