Job summary

The University of South Carolina Division of Administration and Finance seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to join its HR Business Partner unit. As the primary point of contact for assigned departments and their business specialists, this position initiates, manages, and monitors HR activities to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency.

Working with area leadership and hiring managers, the position advises on compensation for hiring and position changes, initiates and approves ongoing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal HR laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze requests for policy compliance.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for assigned departments.
• Advise on compensation for hires and position changes.
• Coordinate employee relations actions and performance coaching.
• Support telecommuting and flexible scheduling requests.
• Escalate complex issues to HR Advisor or ER Expert Team.
