Job summary

WSP USA welcomes an Early Career Electrical Engineer in the Power Delivery ESSP to join our team in multiple locations, including Syracuse, NY, Freeport ME, and other cities. You will perform electrical studies and help design, troubleshoot SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong analytical and communication skills, willing to travel and collaborate across disciplines to deliver reliable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Recent Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Analytical mindset with sound judgement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with technical writing and office tools.
• Willingness to travel as projects require.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies and develop SCADA solutions.
• Use software tools to support protection, planning, and design studies.
• Contribute to relaying protection coordination and NERC compliance.
• Assist with data acquisition, RTUs, HMIs, and PLCs.
• Support cross-functional project teams and documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Travel to project sites for testing and commissioning as needed.
• Contribute to risk assessment and project execution.
