Job summary

Worldpac is seeking an Assistant Branch Operations Manager to learn all branch operations and support the Branch Operations Manager in daily direction at the Burr Ridge, IL location.

This role requires strong leadership, a safety-focused mindset, and ability to train staff while managing scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day tasks. Knowledge of P&L and powered equipment certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of leadership in a warehouse-related field.
• Comfortable with using Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Eligible to work in the country you are applying for.
• Available to open/close the warehouse Mon–Fri and Saturdays as needed.
• Meet all state/provincial driver’s license requirements before driving a company vehicle.
• Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PPt, Word, Excel).
• Extremely organized with strong prioritization.
• Understands staffing requirements.
• Broad understanding of multiple department functions.
• Excellent multitasking ability.
• Willing to evolve and develop personal skills.
• Demonstrated self-starter and motivated.
• Ability to push back respectfully.
• Willing to learn new skills for Branch ops.
• Understanding of P&L.
• Willing to get powered equipment certification.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the Branch Operations Manager, runs day-to-day branch operations.
• Ensures safety and security procedures are followed and leads by example.
• Supports training and development of team members.
• Keeps a customer-service mindset in all interactions.
• Assists in learning all Branch Management functions, including operations, staffing and budgeting.
• Delivers orders and picks up returns using company vehicles safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
